Somatic Mindfulness Circle || Autumn 2024
There is only one thing, that when cultivated and regularly practiced, leads to deep spiritual intention, to peace, to mindfulness and clear comprehension, to vision and knowledge, to a happy life here and now, and to the culmination of wisdom and awakening. And what is this one thing? It is mindfulness centred on the body.Â

This summer, I will offer an 8-session mindfulness series on Wednesday mornings. In this series, I will combine influences from traditional & modern meditation approaches, yoga and somatic therapy to create a diversity of embodied mindfulness practices to explore. I will also take participants' requests for specific topics to explore through practice and conversation, making this an interactive learning circle.
These classes will be held live on Zoom and recorded for later viewing. They are open to anyone wanting to deepen or expand their mindfulness and somatic awareness practices. No previous meditation experience is needed; these sessions are meant to support new and experienced practitioners alike.
Each class will include -
- 10 minute somatic movement/yoga practice
- 10 minute dharma talk on the focus of that day's practice
- 20 minute guided meditation practice
- 5 minute relaxation practice
- 15 - 20Â minute Q&A or discussion period
